How to File for Homestead Exemption

For the upcoming 2009 year, the law states that you must be living in the new property on January 1st.  Therefore, any closings would have to take place prior to December 31st, 2008. 

Filing can be done as of January 2nd, 2009 if you are a US Citizen or US Resident.  The link is the following:
